A01: YES! Ozone is safe and environmentally friendly. The ozone produced with our UV ozone generators will not damage home furnishings and will not leave residue. Ozone will not harm foods and is approved by the FDA as a food preservative because of its capability to kill odors from bacteria and molds. When ozone is breathed in it can be hazardous to your health—that is why we require all people, pets, and plants to vacate after setup. Once the treatment is complete the air is safe and clean.

A02: Ozone gas is colorless but has a distinct odor similar to the smell after a rainstorm. This odor will be present after the treatment but is not overwhelming and will be gone within a week.

A03: Ozone kills anything living that requires oxygen to survive. Mold and most allergens, bacteria, viruses, and odors all consist of living micro-organisms or bacteria. AOS, Inc. replaces the ambient air completely with ozone therefore has been shown to be effective killing the odors from these living things.

A04: The UV ozone generators will eliminate odors from the mold spores by killing them. After the treatment you will see “dead mold” which is dirt or dust. This can easily be cleaned off and/or covered without chemical agents or other high-cost removal steps. AOS, Inc. has the capability to kill odors from mold on any surface that is visible or exposed. After the process the only thing that should be removed are items that are compromised—if the mold becomes thick and deep in a surface it can eventually weaken it.
